Savin Bar & Kitchen was designed to serve the needs of a changing population while retaining its original function as a local pub. The renovation of the former C.F. Donovan's included design and permitting services, kitchen equipment coordination and interior design. The inviting open-concept layout and use of local materials were inspired by the community-driven establishment. RODE also designed the residences—Flats on Savin—above the restaurant.
