This 3 family condo building in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood is designed to be both be highly efficient, and yet provide uplifting space. The project is shaped by the requirements of the Boston Zoning Code. RODE used these requirements to sculpt the massing of the building. There is a through floor unit at the street level with a garden style patio.  The two duplexes have access to private roof decks through a sunlit, double height space. A custom metal stair acts as a sculptural centerpiece to the units. The exterior of the structure is clad in a black siding, with contrasting wood.
