Elevating Sustainability: Celebrating Our Newest Passive House Certified Designers
At RODE, we believe that "lightning strikes" when technical expertise meets creative exploration. Today, we are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our commitment to sustainable design: two of our talented team members, Zoe Wong and Rakshit Rajender, have officially earned their Passive House (CPHC/CPHT) Certifications.
As the industry moves toward a more climate-resilient future, Passive House standards represent the gold standard for energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and building longevity. By reaching this achievement, Zoe and Rakshit are bringing a new level of rigor and environmental responsibility to our studio’s collaborative process.

Meet the Designers
Zoe Wong Since joining RODE in 2019, Zoe has been a champion for "intersectional architecture"—the idea that everyone deserves a beautiful, joyful space to call their own. As a designer who also manages our model shop, Zoe understands that the best designs are both tactile and deeply functional. For Zoe, Passive House certification is a natural extension of her commitment to social accessibility. By designing high-performance buildings, she is ensuring that the communities we serve benefit from lower energy costs, better air quality, and spaces that truly celebrate their users.
Rakshit Rajender Rakshit’s approach to architecture has always been rooted in precision and innovation. With a background in animation and 3D modeling, he excels at translating complex design ideas into meticulous documentation. Rakshit is passionate about integrating AI and generative design into the architectural process to foster environmental responsibility. His new certification allows him to bridge the gap between high-tech detailing and sustainable practice, ensuring that our projects are as technically sound as they are conceptually bold.
What This Means for RODE
Our values are centered on finding the design solution that is "right for the client, right for the space, and right for the community." With Zoe and Rakshit’s new expertise, we are better equipped than ever to deliver on that promise.
Passive House isn't just about reducing a carbon footprint; it’s about creating resilient, "well-crafted" spaces that are attuned to their environment. Whether we are working on multi-family housing, commercial spaces, or industrial projects, the integration of Passive House principles will allow us to push the boundaries of what sustainable architecture can achieve.
Please join us in congratulating Zoe and Rakshit on this incredible accomplishment! We look forward to seeing how their expertise continues to shape the future of RODE’s work.
