Description
The six-story development at 1690-1700 Hyde Park Avenue will introduce 115 residential units in a building that relates to the industrial character of the neighborhood while enhancing connectivity to nearby residential areas. It includes amenities such as a community lounge, fitness center, roof terrace, underground parking, and indoor bike storage. A commercial space along Hyde Park Avenue will serve as a public amenity, and the building’s stepped massing creates a large pocket park with solar access along Hyde Park Ave. The design wraps the site’s edges and transitions from six stories to one, aligning with adjacent structures. Brick will be used on public-facing areas for texture and detail, while simpler materials like fiber cement and metal panels will clad the rest. Overall, the project aims to provide much-needed housing and public space in a transit-accessible location.
